Enhance Your IT Career with Purpose!
In partnership with CompTIA and a division of Purpose Medical Institute, Purpose I.T. provides “hands-on” training and on campus certification courses in the areas of IT Fundamentals, A+ (Core 1 and Core 2), Network+, Security+ and more. In addition, Purpose I.T. offers the CompTIA Cybersecurity Pathway – a certification track in which students begin with foundational classes and advance from one certification course to another. The Cybersecurity Pathways allows students to build on their knowledge and skills, up to an including expert level certifications such as Cybersecurity Analyst, Advanced Security Practitioner, etc. All courses are based on a minimum 10 week time frame, depending on the course. Classes are one day a week. Enrollment is on a first come first basis. Seating is limited.
Classes meet 1 day a week, Monday through Thursday, as well as Saturday. Morning sessions are 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM; Afternoon sessions 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM and Evening sessions 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Saturday session are available from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM. All courses and times are subject to availability. Day and times subject to change; however, student will be notified of any changes prior to course starting.
IT Essentials
The IT Essentials provides the building blocks of computers and information technology. The course designed to enhance the knowledge and skills required to identify and explain the basics of computing, IT infrastructure, software development, and database use. The objective is not only to provide a solid IT foundation, but also equips students to sit for the Comptia IT Fundamentals+ Certification Exam.

A+
From Windows and Macs, to Androids and iPhone, the A+ course develops student’s competencies in installation, maintenance, networking, security, trouble shooting and problem solving of both hardware and software. The course is designed to ready students for the CompTIA A+ plus certification exams Core 1 (220-1001) and Core 2 (220-1002).

Network+

Security+
Anticipate, Protect, React! The Security plus course advances student’s IT capacity, by formulating the tools and skills necessary to identify system vulnerabilities, anticipate incidents, protects against data risks, and react to operational threats. The objective of this course is prepare students for the CompTIA Security+ Certification Exam.
