College Education designed to “Enhance” your Career
Courses range from 8 to 24 weeks, depending on the course. Classes are small, 1 to 6 students, so enrollment is limited. Applications are accepted until registration closes for a given term or until the class option is full. Students will then be wait listed for the next term.
Classes meet for 3 hours; 1 or 2 days a week, depending on the course. Morning classes are 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM; Night classes are 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM; Saturday classes are offered from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM. All courses and times are subject to availability. Students are notified in advance of any changes prior to classes starting.
Although accredited and state licensed, the college does not participate in Title IV Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA, Pell Grants, Student Loans, etc).
Monthly, Bi-weekly and Weekly Tuition Payment Plans are available.
Phlebotomy
Phlebotomy is the practice of drawing blood and other specimens from patients in variety of medical settings. In this course students will focus on blood collection methods, standard precautions, and topics of basic anatomy, medical terminology, infection control, and procedures necessary to appropriately collect laboratory specimens and communicate with patients. Classes are held in person, at a campus, and consists of lecture and clinical lab. Phlebotomy is a great avenue for CNA’s, Patient Care Specialists, Medical Assistants, Nurses and other health care professionals to enhance their skills and career.

Electrocardiogram (EKG)
In the EKG (Electrocardiogram) course students are trained to record and monitor the hearts’ electrical activity, while recognizing and evaluating heart rhythms. Classes are held in person, at a campus, and consists of lecture and hands on training, in preparing patients for various methods of testing and halter monitoring. EKG provides exposure to medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, rhythm and basic interpretations of the cardiac system. The curriculum is designed to provide the educational information and competencies required various in national certification agencies.

Medical Billing & Medical Coding
Billing and Coding is a vital component of any medical facility. Consisting of 2 Units (Medical Billing/Intro to Coding and Medical Coding II) students learn the basics computerized medical insurance billing; build a patient information database, discover electronic claims submissions, third-party insurance claim forms and patient billing statements. Students also focus on learning the essential coding rules and guidelines using clinical classification systems such as CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM. *Students have the option to take one or both course units.

Medical Assisting
The Medical Assistant course focuses on enhancing the training, knowledge and additional skills necessary for a Medical Assisting certification. The course includes “front and back office” duties, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, administrative functions, clinical & lab procedures, and more. Classes are held in person, at a campus, and consists of lecture and lab units in Phlebotomy, EKG, and PCT. The course is designed to prepare students for the national certification exam as a Clinical & Administrative Medical Assistant. In addition, students can sit for national certification exams as Phlebotomy Technicians, EKG Technicians, and/or Patient Care Technicians.
